The VLO & eSCF conference: Omni-Channel Logistics

This conference will take place on April 13th 2016 at the conference center of Hotel Koningshof in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. For the first time in history, the Association of Logistic Designers (VLO) and the European Supply Chain Forum (eSCF) will organize a conference together. In addition, we also cooperate with both TiasNimbas business school and Topsector Logisitiek. The collaboration with these leading institutions in the Dutch Logistics sector provides access to state of the art knowledge (both scientific as from practice) which we would like to share with you.

The topic of the VLO & eSCF conference is Omni-Channel Logistics.

In our experience, the discussions on omni-channel have predominantly evolved around the marketing domain. The logistics perspective has not received sufficient attention yet. We believe that we, as logistics designers, can contribute to this topic by focusing on the implications of the omni-channel strategy for logistics. In this conference we will look at how the supply chain should be organized in order to make the omni-channel strategy successful.

Program

During the conference we will outline the practical applications and best practices in omni-channel logistics. This will be presented to you in the form of a Masterclass provided by TiasNimbas and TEDx-like presentations by experts from both the scientific discipline as from practice.

The conference will be chaired by Dr. Freek Aertsen, professor in Supply Chain Management at TiasNimbas Business School and Senior Consultant at EyeOn.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Roeland Baaijens,            VP global logistics at Hilti AG
  • André Vriens,                    Managing partner at EyeOn
  • Paul Grefen,                      Professor at the TU/e
  • More to be announced soon at www.oclconference.com/speakers.html

This full day event is the perfect opportunity to learn from the best in class supply chain management practitioners and will provide plenty of room for networking activities. We expect about 250 to 300 participants at the conference. These participants will be from the networks of the VLO, eSCF, Topsector Logistiek and TiasNimbas.
