Dinalog, the Dutch Institute for Advanced Logistics has one goal: the Netherlands will be European market leader in the control and coordination of transnational flows of goods by 2020. Therefore Innovation through collaboration is necessary: between rail, road, air and sea transport. Between researchers and logistics professionals, in and across supply chains.
We subsidize R&D projects. Subsequently, we show how the plans work in practice in Dinalog Lab and Demo projects. We provide a boost to education in the field of logistics and supply chain management. And through SME knowledge dissemination, we ensure that the information ends up in the right place. As a consequence Dinalog is also involved in several EU-funded projects.
Dinalog has a vacancy for a junior assistant to the program manager international for an ongoing European project.
Responsibilities, primarily related to the project:
- conduct tasks of database administration;
- help to update project information (i.e. database / portal maintenance);
- support organizing internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other project dissemination activities;
- assist in financial issues, reporting, evaluation;
- assist in project management work as needed;
- support other activities of the Program Manager International as needed.
Qualifications:
- creative, logic, precise, and task-oriented;
- knowledge of database, project management, logistics or similar required;
- excellent English skills, speech and writing;
- excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (ppt, xls, doc). Knowledge of MS Project and database s/w preferred;
- flexible working time, and available for occasional travel abroad if needed.
Availability and planning:
You should be available for approximately 16 hours per week. The position starts immediately and the project runs until end of 2014.
You report to theProgram Manager International.
Your salary is based on student side job position and dependent on age, experience and background.
