Projects

Research and development of related innovations and knowledge is focused on supply/demand chain control topics:

  • Cross Chain Control Centers: a centre from which several supply/demand chains are controlled by means of modern high technology, advanced software, top professionals; physical, financial and information flows are controlled here.
  • Multi-company Service Logistics: possibilities for combined after sales services for products; based on the cradle-to-cradle principle until the end of the economic life-cycle.
  • Mainports in Control: control by the Dutch mainports of all transport movements through these mainports, with efficient use of the infrastructure immediately surrounding the mainports and extending into the European hinterland.

Dinalog research agenda

The Dinalog research agenda is primarily market driven, with the involvement of all relevant parties. The Executive Board of Dinalog consists  mainly of representatives of the private sector.
The Scientific programme has an open character: within the boundaries of the innovation topics referred to, interested parties can submit research and development proposals to the Institute. The Call for proposals does require high quality in terms of both content and the consortium partners (both private sector and universities).

Focus

The focus of the innovation topics is on execution and hence on the acceleration of existing ideas of large supply chain companies, logistics service providers and mainports. Of course, related small and medium sized companies can also join or create a consortium. Dinalog will facilitate cooperation between small and medium sized companies, will enable knowledge dissemination within the sector in general and will assist and facilitate new startup companies in these fields to get going and become successful.
