International
Logistics and supply chain management is by its very definition an international industry. The logistics chains and networks exceed national boundaries. To realize the Dinalog objectives, it is crucial that links are forged with international innovation programs, international knowledge clusters and regions
with complementary expertise. The attraction of knowledge workers and international investors is also crucial for open innovation.
This is why Dinalog has drawn up a strategy, with the objective of reinforcing the international position of the Dutch logistics and supply chain management industry in international networks. The strategy comprises the following:
· cooperation and exchange in the field of R&D with international partners,
institutes,networks, clusters and universities;
· dissemination of knowledge, exchange of knowledge and exchange of best
practices with international partners;
· attracting direct and indirect international investment and knowledge workers.
Consortia and contacts
To facilitate these objectives Dinalog works closely with:
· Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency from the Ministry of Economic Affairs,
Agriculture and Innovation;
· Nederland Distributie Land / Holland International Distribution Council;
· the sister innovation program run by HTAS (High Tech Automotive Systems);
· networks of Dutch and international knowledge institutes.

In the interim period, contacts have already been laid with:
· Sweden: NGIL and Innova;
· Denmark: Ministry of Transport and various Line organizations;
· Spain: MIT Zaragoza Logistics Center;
· Belgium: Flemish Institute for Logistics and the Flemish Institute for Mobility;
· Germany: House of Logistics and Mobility and Fraunhofer.

In addition:
· participation in various international conferences, fairs and seminars;
· participation in TAG NL (European lobby network for research);
· a project in the European Framework Program FP7 and the Interreg program;
· an initiative for projects within the European program Regions of Knowledge;
· involvement in the European Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe,
together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment.
