Business meets Science

Date: March 17th
Time: 09:00 – 16:30
Location:     Kühne Logistics University, Hamburg, Germany

The ISLA Campus organises March 17th a “Business meets Science” event in Hamburg. It is bringing together industry practitioners and researchers from management science in one forum. This session is hosted by the Kühne Logistics University (KLU) which opened its new campus in the emerging HafenCity in September 2013. The KLU is unique for its international faculty and research expertise in logistics and related aspects of business. It ranks among the top universities in the 2012 Handelsblatt research ranking of business administration faculties in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

ISLA’s main objective is the exchange of experience in all areas of service management and spare parts logistics. Managers from across industries — Automotive to Wind Energy — have attended our events to share ideas and strategies and to learn from fellow colleagues’ case studies. Research in Supply Chain and Operations management and related fields is another great source of inspiration on how to innovate and develop service and logistics operations. Therefore, we are happy to hold our second ISLA Campus in cooperation with KLU and SLF, with the aim of bringing together researchers and academicians from universities and practitioners from the industry in one interactive forum.
