WINN – European Platform Driving KNOWledge to INNovations in Freight Logistics

The EU-funded project ‘European Platform Driving KnoWledge to INNovations in Freight Logistics’, in short ‘WINN’, is a project that aims to increase consensus and collaboration among different stakeholders in freight transport and logistics in order to define and implement research and innovation agendas of national and European programs to improve business competitiveness and sustainability.

An important step is the establishment of the European Technology Platform (ETP) on Logistics, named ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe), a platform consisting of an extensive framework of broad collaboration, built upon main stakeholders operating in national and European triple helix networks in logistics in Europe. ALICE, as a forum for industry and authorities, will be led by industry and will define the future agendas of research and innovation in logistics in the context of the European Commission programs of 2014-2020, including HORIZON 2020.

WINN will support and coordinate the development of ALICE, starting with the composition of a group of European companies originating from the consortium partners’ networks.
