Care for logistics

The expected result is a strategic logistic control centre that will integrate supply chains in the care sector from fresh food to office and medical equipments.

The potential of such a control centre is enormous and could result in a major cut back in cost. The research will focus on investigating and solving problems that arise while integrating several care supply chains. In addition to developing a control centre the partners will develop a new distribution centre where the concept of cross docking will be implemented.

Furthermore, the partners will implement and develop the necessary tools for their administrative-and logistic processes. The objective is to save costs in logistics for institutions in the care sector and increase the logistic volumes of the suppliers, due to the control centre.
