LEARN International workshop

On Februrary 6 & 7, 2019 in Brussels, Belgium, LEARN Partners are coming together to present and seek feedback from participants on the results and learnings from the LEARN project – LEARN International Workshop Event.

The event will demonstrate practical examples of companies that have tested emissions calculation, assurance and reporting in practice, and recognize achievements. Together we will explore how to support business beyond the LEARN project through policy, research, training and a growing network of programs and initiatives.

Why are LEARN partners coming together:
Over the past 2 years, LEARN partners have been working closely with related organizations, initiatives and already existing networks. This includes the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC), a voluntary partnership of companies, industry associations and programs, led by Smart Freight Centre. The LEARN project has built on and sought to improve the ‘GLEC Framework for Logistics Emissions Methodologies’ that combines existing methods and fills gaps, making carbon accounting work for industry.

Program
6 February 2019: LEARN Achievements
What has LEARN achieved and how will it enable business to calculate, report and reduce their carbon footprint across their global logistics supply chains?

7 February 2019: Supporting business beyond LEARN
Taking action towards efficient and low emission logistics supply chains – How can businesses practically implement the outputs from LEARN and what more is needed?
