Both the healthcare and logistics sectors are facilitating sectors that make an important contribution to the well-being of our society and the individual. The concept of well-being is subject to change, especially in the healthcare sector, because people want more control over their health and care provision is increasingly taking place at home. How can logistics facilitate this? This project focuses on this question and develops a vision in which the currently fragmented knowledge of logistics and care is integrally described, tested and combined with the aim of being able to transfer applicable knowledge.

DUTCH HEALTHCARE IS CHANGING RADIANTLY
As a result of these challenges, two major transitions are taking place in the healthcare sector to keep society future-proof and vital:

A shift from 'Illness and Care' to 'Health and Behaviour', in which self-reliance and the citizen's own control over his or her health are central (client-centric).

The extramuralization of care, whereby care and support will increasingly be provided to citizens at home and at locations other than the healthcare institution.
