Agriculture, Water, Food

The Netherlands is a leading knowledge country in many agricultural, water and food themes. Innovation is important to maintain this position and to meet the societal challenges in areas such as food production, biodiversity, climate change, circular agriculture and water quality. The Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for Agriculture, Water, Food gives direction to this by means of six missions and two key technologies. A PPP project answers one or more knowledge and innovation missions in this agenda.

Budget

Around €12.8 million (excl. VAT) in funding is available for research in 2025. Two thirds of this concerns contributions from LNV and I&W in the form of capacity at Wageningen Research and other TO2 institutes. The remainder concerns PPP subsidies made available by the TKIs, which can also be used with other knowledge suppliers. New this year is that SMEs can also apply for funding in part of the funding made available.

Indienen

Project proposals can be submitted until 2 September. Please use the 2025 formats for both proposal and budget. From mid-June, the opportunity to submit proposals will be visible on this page.

Consultatie

It is possible to request a consultation in advance for coordination on suitability with the KIA and portfolio and/or on funding. Registration for this is no longer possible. The application must include a completed form 'Pitch form PPP consultation round' ; applications without this form will not be considered.
