Samenwerking in de Logistiek (Connekt, TNO, Synple)

Wim Bosman, Refresco, SCA and Unilever enthusiastically embrace the TKI project ‘to the next level in logistics collaboration’. These market parties unanimously believe in the power of chain collaboration. According to those present, logistics collaboration is the necessary step towards a sustainable logistics sector.
Companies experience various barriers that stand in the way of logistics collaboration, such as not being able to find suitable partners, difficulty in building sufficient mutual trust and the challenge of aligning processes and working methods during the implementation phase. At the same time, collaboration offers a great many opportunities. Because collaboration in logistics makes it possible to increase the occupancy rate of, for example, trucks and reduces the number of empty kilometres driven. Far-reaching collaboration offers opportunities to bundle loads or to further increase efficiency by means of multimodal solutions. Promoting collaboration between shippers and/or carriers offers clear advantages by reducing vehicle movements, saving empty kilometres and reducing CO2.
This TKI project is the result of the shared ambition of the consortium partners to overcome barriers and demonstrate the steps towards actual operational collaboration. The project will roll out three pilots such as the logistics matchmaking app ‘weConnekt’, ‘Samen Minder Leeg’ – operational collaboration through ride exchange, or Ecosystems for cross-chain collaboration.
