SOC4LOG is a 12-month applied research project aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity
resilience of the Dutch logistics sector. It delivers a sector-specific Security Operations Centre
(SOC) framework tailored to the needs of logistics service providers by integrating real-time
threat monitoring, software dependency analysis, and executive-level decision support.

The project builds on the outcomes of the DReSC initiative by extending IT dependency
mapping into the software layer through Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs), while also
enabling live network telemetry analysis using high-performance sensors deployed in
operational environments. The SOC outputs are translated into structured reports and
integrated into experiential training programs to support cybersecurity decision-making at all
levels—from IT teams to executive management.

Led by a consortium of the University of Twente, JADS, Awareways, and CAPE, the project
combines technical innovation, behavioral interventions, and stakeholder outreach. Through
targeted trainings, strategic workshops, and plug-and-play tools, SOC4LOG creates scalable
cybersecurity practices for the logistics sector, aligned with NIS2 compliance and the ambitions
of the Nationale Kennisagenda Logistiek 2024–2027.
