Reliable and predictable travel times, waiting times, and handling times are essential for road transporters, shippers, and terminals, but they are not guaranteed. In this project, logistics processes and traffic management are analyzed comprehensively based on large amounts of traffic data and logistics data to identify inefficiencies and understand the potential of combining logistics and traffic management measures. An integrated logistics and traffic management model will also be developed to enable the measures to be implemented as effectively as possible. Together with the partners in the field, three pilots will be carried out during the project to test the most promising measures in practice.
