Community of Practice: How do you kick-start an AI initiative in logistics?
- 11-02-2026
- 14:00 - 17:00
- Hogeschool Utrecht
How do you get started with Artificial Intelligence and data science in your company? To help you get started, Logistics Community Brabant, University of Twente, Breda University of Applied Sciences, Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen, Windesheim, Hogeschool Utrecht, and Deltago are organising the Community of Practice for the 6th time.
After five successful editions, with already over 40 logistics companies, we are starting the 6th community. Together, we will work on starting a concrete AI and data science project.
On 11 February, you are welcome to the first free meeting with new prospective participants and former participants of the community of practice. During this kick-off meeting, former participants will present their experiences, lessons learned and results achieved. And we will brainstorm together on new and relevant AI applications for the logistics sector.
This session will give you the tools to take the first steps within your business.
Costs
The cost for participation in the working sessions between October and February is €1,000, excl. VAT, per company, to cover expenses incurred. Upon registration, participants are expected to attend the 4 workshops. After 11 February, you can definitively register for the Community of Practice working sessions.
Target
The Community of Practice focuses on SMEs in transport and logistics services, who want to get more out of data and ai. To get from idea to implementation, participating companies will work in pairs. A duo ideally consists of a logistics professional or manager and an IT engineer with knowledge of data analytics and/or data science. This can also be your external IT partner.
Objective
Together with participating companies, we continue to build a practical toolbox for AI projects and modern learning environment. We are working on concrete issues and projects from the companies around data science and artificial intelligence in logistics. We are also building generic algorithms that we can make available as plug & play applications for logistics SMEs.
"We have been able to take the first steps towards the next level of maturity in data analytics. It has also strengthened cooperation with educational institutions. There are now connections in various places for further collaborations." Jordi Lenselink - Nijhof Wassink
